While it was still light, I tried to photograph my landlord’s cat, which was sitting outside pretending very hard not to be posing. However, instead of getting a photograph, I learned that the Tamron lens requires a firmware update in order to work in Live View mode. Without that, it freezes when you trigger the shutter. The seller I bought it from evidently didn’t bother to get it upgraded before selling, and definitely didn’t bother to warn me about the problem. The cat had left before I could switch to the viewfinder.
So, instead, here are a few images where I was playing with focus at different points, through the VF and once again in low light.
